How Countertops Wichita Works
Countertops Wichita measures, fabricates and installs kitchen countertops and bathroom vanity tops in Wichita and the surrounding towns of Sedgwick County and South-Central Kansas. We work in quartz, granite, quartzite, marble, solid surface and laminate, and we come to you: the estimate, the measurement and the install all happen at your house.
Every project starts with a visit. We look at the cabinets the new top will sit on, check whether walls and base cabinets are level and square, note the sink, faucet, cooktop and outlet locations, and talk through materials and edge profiles. Many Wichita homes were built in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, and their walls are rarely perfectly straight, so we plan for scribing and seam placement from the start.
After you choose a material, we schedule a precise template once the cabinets are in their final position. You pick the actual slab or color before fabrication, and the pieces are cut to the template with the sink, cooktop and faucet holes in place. On install day we remove the old tops if that is part of the job, set and level the new pieces, join seams, attach undermount sinks, and reconnect the sink drain, faucet and disposal to the existing lines.
If your plan moves the sink or changes plumbing, we say so at the estimate. In Wichita and unincorporated Sedgwick County, plumbing permits and inspections run through the Metropolitan Area Building and Construction Department (MABCD), and that work is done by a licensed plumber with a permit where one is required.
